so all the big changes can be made at the one time and then the mods
go through the temp sections and move threads as appropiate

once a temp section is empty it is deleted.

I agree, but that discussion belongs to another thread, and probably
best kept untill we've finished making changes to the layout of the
forum

what "somewhat more offtopic section" :)

cause in the new layout there is no "offtopic" section as such, it's
just that the two offtopic subsections from before, computer/linux
talk and general talk have been merged into community talk under the
community section.
