I am using the gconf backend, and there appears to be no problem with anything
but the screen edge and edge button options.  Under the "general" tab I can
change any of the options and that works fine.  Also, I can change the shortcut
keys/mouse buttons for any of the options and that works fine.  It appears that
it's just the screen edges and edge buttons that are not functioning correctly.
 I do not know if this is a problem with CCSM, the plugin itself, or some
incompatibility with my hardware/OS.  Let me know if I can provide any more
information that would help.
