Summary: Window decorator disappears on firefox window
Product: Compiz Fusion
Version: git HEAD
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P3
Component: Emerald
AssignedTo: dev at lists.compiz-fusion.org
ReportedBy: graeter at hydrixos.org
Since a couple of weeks I have a very strange behaviour when I open a new
firefox window: if I open a new window on my first (smaller) screen, the window
will appear only without any window decorator.
The window decorator will come back, if I press F11 to set firefox in
full-screen mode and press it again to leave full screen mode. It also comes
back if I move the window in the Expo-Plugin to my second screen (because it
has to resize itself to the other screen's size).
I'm using the latest GIT version of compiz through the x11-effects overlay of
Gentoo Linux (package x11-wm/compiz-fusion-9999 and x11-wm/emerald-9999). I
have a dual screen system whereas the first screen has a resolution of 1280x800
and the second of 1280x1024.
I have attached a screenshot to visualize the problem. xwininfo gives me these
informations about the firefox window:
~ $ xwininfo
xwininfo: Please select the window about which you
would like information by clicking the
mouse in that window.

As you see in the screenshot the window decorator even doesn't appear in the
window preview.
