You most likely have a configuration problem. It seems like some action is
bound to the <Ctrl> key. Try checking all key bindings for that. If that does
not work, try resetting your settings to defaults.
Closing as WORKSFORME because exactly that is the case here. Reopen if the
problem persists with latest code and fresh settings.
