Summary: severe memory leak using TwinView
           Product: Compiz Fusion
           Version: 0.6.0
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P3
         Component: -Unknown
        AssignedTo: dev at lists.compiz-fusion.org
        ReportedBy: gnychis at cmu.edu

I run compiz-fusion on three of my machines, one of which is a dual screen
setup using nVidia's binary driver with TwinView. Each machine runs the same
version of Ubuntu and compiz-fusion. However, on my TwinView machine, I've
noticed a horrible memory leak with certain functions.

I'm running the Ubuntu gutsy repository version's of compiz-fusion, the nvidia
new glx driver, and beryl with an 6600 PCI-E card and P4 with 1GB of memory.

The main causes of the memory leaks are the application switcher and desktop
cube rotation.

If I activate the application switcher, it seems like it doesn't know what to
do with my dual screens, it will cause the desktop to lockup for about a half a
second, appear for a fraction of a second on my left screen, then hop over to
my right screen. By the end of this, using 'top', compiz.real will jump .5% in
its memory footprint. This is *every* time I use the application switcher.
Therefore, I can essentially jump my memory usage up to 80% in a matter of a
minute.

The other cause is the cube rotation, I can't find an exact correlation like I
can with the application switcher, but it seems to increase my memory by .2%
every couple of rotations.
