When did you last upgrade Compiz Fusion?  AFAIK 0.6.99 is the version number
given to the latest development version of emerald, so you may wish to upgrade
to see if the problem has been fixed.  I'm running 0.6.99 as of about a week
ago, and can't replicate this problem.
