[FusionDev] Debugging ccs

After an upgrade yesterday that spanned a couple of weeks of commits,
I'm left with a ccsm that doesn't work and it seems only parts of ccs
work.
Ini backend. Feisty fawn.
Basically, ccsm looks great, everything appears to work in the gui,
but nothing I do gets saved to file, or takes effect in the running
version.
When I tried manually editing the file, it seemed only the plugin list
would work at first glance. In an attempt to debug this, I removed the
config file (thinking that the error might be because of the old
action-options still being saved there) and forgot to make a backup,
leaving me with no configuration to do further testing with, save
manually writing the configuration file, which I lack the knowledge to
do by hand, at the moment.
I'm not ruling out user error here during the update procedure, but
I'd take any help I can get in figuring this out at the moment.
I don't see any error messages except a missing gconf backend when
starting compiz (using ccp). Both
.config/compiz/compizconfig/(config|Default.ini) are blank at the
moment.
lincompizconfig, compizconfig-python and ccsm are up to date, and
installed in that order.
