IIRC no! There was no final decision. Everybody agreed on creating a unified
community with only one forum, but the technical details (server, software,
domain etc) were not finally decided. Then beryl shut down the forums and
created oc.o. Remember how the forum had to be setup two or three times
because of the phpbb vs vb debate?
That's just one issue with the planning of this project. There is none! And
if there are some making a decision it's not documented - IMO "who, where,
when, what and why ... was decided?". Together with ETA these decisions form
a roadmap then.
I think this is one very important requirement in a big project like this:
Decision making processes have to be documented! Consistent and
comprehensible for everybody!
Otherwise people go solo.
