All though most of us know each other at some level by now, we all
come from two different projects, therefor, I'd like to start a round
of self introductions for everyone who's involved with the Compiz
Fusion project so we can get to know each other better.
Tell us a little bit about what your interest in the project have been
up until now, what you've done, want to do, and maybe what you do
professionally. I'll start it off :)
I first tried Compiz in September 2006. I've been involved with
GNU/Linux since 1999, mostly as a hobby, but also as a job. My main
interest was server related until I got involved with the Beryl
project, shortly after the first Beryl release (same week X.org 7.1
entered Debian Etch).
I am working on Enhanced Zoom as a Google Summer of Code project on
behalf of Ubuntu, and I am a student of Oslo University College.
Besides plugin work, I've done a decent bit of hacking on the Beryl
core, improving the multihead code among other things. My main
interest in general is to produce a quality product which will last.
While I leave the actual maintaining of services to better (well, more
interested) people, I've taken an interest in the forum and the bug
tracker, under the Beryl project and now under Compiz Fusion. I
believe the bond to our users is important, and I wish to keep it as
productive as it can possibly be, for all parties involved.
Despite being a Compiz Fusion developer, I have very little interest
in eye candy. I am horrible at OpenGL, but I love a well written
algorithm, and I've been playing with C for as long as I've been
involved with GNU/Linux. This is the first public free software
project I've participated in.
Oh, and since an alarming number of people seem to miss this little
detail: I am a guy.

Kristian
