It is a difference between doing things alone because nobody else cares
for it or doing things alone because I want to have them done my way.
You can't really criticize me for trying to keep our primary forum alive
and usable while being the last official around.

The spam prevention (which actually doesn't help much against our human
spammers) sits in "usercp_register.php" so only affects new
registrations. Also it can not be responsible for the slowliness when
making posts because the slowliness was there before.

I don't think the public web-list is an appropriate place for talking
about our server-problems. This stuff doesn't belong in public. The
web-list can be used for talking about the site in general and possible
improvements to it, but at least admin-related stuff should be kept on
the admin-list (otherwise it also loses its last purpose).
